Hull City manager Phil Brown denied that he plans to sign Ahli Dubai's Egyptian midfielder Hosni Abd-Rabou in January.

The Tigers are looking to enforce their ranks in the next transfer window, which fueled rumors that Brown is lining up bids for a number of players including Abd-Rabou.

"It's starting, from now till the end of January it's going to be a culmination of speculation and agents putting names about," Brown was quoted as saying by Sky Sports.

"Agents are trying to get their players moving, but there is no interest in signing neither Abd-Rabou nor Wigan Athletic's Ryan Taylor,"

Since their promotion to the top flight this season, Hull have been the Premiership's surprise package, as they lie sixth on 27 points after 18 games.

Abd-Rabou is currently playing on a one-season loan at Ahli Dubai from Ismaili.
