Ahli winger Hussein Yasser survived a car accident on the Sixth of October Bridge in Cairo on Saturday.
The Egyptian-born Qatari player was driving his car when he suddenly found another vehicle approaching from the opposite direction as the latter driver took a wrong path.
Both cars collided but Yasser suffered just minor bruises on his left arm, Ahli said on their official website.
The former Boavista man joined the Red Devils on a free transfer in the close season. Since his arrival, he has been used mainly as a substitute.
Ahli have on Friday refused to allow Yasser to take part in Qatar's Gulf Cup campaign due to their hectic schedule in the Egyptian League.
