Ahli goalkeeping coach Ahmed Nagi lauded substitute keeper Ramzi Saleh, who made his debut in the 3-0 Egyptian Cup victory over Koroum.

"Although has hasn't played for a long time, Saleh produced an assured display in his first test," Nagi told Ahli's official website on Saturday.

"His stops and reactions were brilliant. Saleh proved that he deserved to be a member of Ahli's squad."

The Palestinian guardian has been given a peripheral role since joining Ahli from Shbab Jbalia in the summer.

He had to play second-fiddle to Amir Abdul-Hamid, who became Ahli’s first-choice keeper following Essam Al-Hadari’s departure to Swiss side Sion.

"Ahli have several good keepers. Competition between them is fierce, every one of them is waiting for his chance," Nagi concluded.
