Egyptian defender Amir Azmi said on Saturday that he terminated his contract with Turkish side Hacettepe Spor.
"I gave up $50,000 of my dues to convince Hacettepe Spor officials to release me," Azmi told FilGoal.com on Saturday.
The former Zamalek man recently said he would leave Hacettepe in January after growing increasingly frustrated with the club’s inability to give him his dues.
According to Azmi, Hacettepe owe him $150,000.
The 25-year-old is yet to settle on his new destination but said he was considering several offers, including ones from Egypt.
"Turkish clubs Konyaspor and Denizlispor and Cypriot’s APOEL are interested in signing me," he revealed.
"I also have offers from two Egyptian teams. There is a possibility that I may return to Egypt because I want to be in contention for a national team place."
