Real Madrid defender Fabio Cannavaro flushed away rumors linking him with a move to AC Milan.

The Italy captain will run out of contract with Real next summer, and has been reportedly tipped to join Carlo Ancelotti's injury-plagued side.

"Milan? I’ve not read anything about it. I’m only thinking of Real Madrid at this time," he was quoted as saying by Spanish daily AS.

"I feel like a Madridista and I want to remain. I believe that I will stay here even if anything can happen in football."

The 35-year-old reiterated that he is not willing to leave Santiago Bernabeu, but will choose the right time to negotiate a new deal.

"This just isn’t the ideal time to talk about a renewal. The good of the team comes first, then that of the individual," he added.

"When the right moment presents itself then I’ll talk with the Real directors because I’ve often said that I want to stay as Real are my first option.

"I’m in no rush because I know that the team and my colleagues want me here. I’m not interested in any other sides."
