Despite facing massive criticism from both media and fans since abandoning Ahli to join Sion in January, Al-Hadari stressed that he’d love to play for the Red Devils again.
"I would gladly return to Ahli if the board ask me to do so," Al-Hadari said on Dream TV.
''I know that despite everything, Ahli fans still love me and I really appreciate this."
The 35-year-old, who grew emotional and shed tears during the television show, said that he doesn’t regret the decision to move to Switzerland.
"Of course sometimes I ask myself if it was a right move or not. But coming to Sion is an experience and it has positive as well as negative aspects," he said.
Al-Hadari was an integral part of Ahli’s team from 1996 until 2008, where he played over 500 games, winning a number of domestic and continental titles with the Cairo giants.
