AC Milan striker Filippo Inzaghi got deeply provoked by Amauri's reluctance to join world champions Italy.

Brazilian-born footballer Amauri has got married to an Italian woman a while back, therefore will be granted the Italian citizenship in January.

However, the Juventus scoring sensation hasn't decided on his future yet, with Brazil coach Carlos Dunga also interested in his services.

"He is undecided? I don’t think that is the right way to go about this," 2006 World Cup winner Inzaghi was quoted by Italian media.

"The Azzurri shirt cannot be considered a consolation prize. He needs to make a decision and have the courage to announce it."

Furthermore, Genoa boss Gian Gasperini believes only native players have the right to represent their countries.

"I am not convinced by these citizenship processes, but Motta is certainly more Italian than Amauri and Camoranesi," said the coach.

"On the field he has already proved that he has what it takes to play international football."
