Zamalek caretaker coach Ahmed Refaat refuted reports claiming that frontline duo Gamal Hamza and Junior Agogo have been sanctioned nearly two weeks before the fiery clash against Ahli.

He assured that both strikers are well-disciplined in these days, and sounded his dissatisfaction over the media groundless allegations.

"Some newspapers mentioned that Hamza kept on skipping training sessions, while Agogo didn't arrive in Cairo on time," Refaat told Zamalek's official website.

"These reports are absolute rubbish that aim to distract our players ahead of the imminent Cairo derby. Mass media should be more careful while reporting news."

Ghanaian hitman Agogo traveled to England on Christmas vacation, and reportedly delayed his arrival in Cairo without his club's permission.

"Gamal is participating in training regularly, and Agogo rejoined the team when he was supposed to. We didn't fine them as was rumored” added Refaat.

Furthermore, the interim boss said he is going to announce on Saturday the players who will take part in the training camp, which Zamalek are holding to prepare for their arch-rivals Ahli.
