Mourinho does not want injury-prone Owen

"I haven't given Owen any thought at all," Mourinho told Gazzetta Dello Sport.

"The last year he has had serious injuries and he is no longer the Owen we all knew."

Owen's contract with the Magpies expires next summer, and the England international is strongly tipped for a move away from St. James' Park.

The 29-year-old's progress has been curtailed by a host of injuries in recent years, which cost him his place in the England roster.

Meanwhile, Inter welcomed back Adriano after the Brazilian forward missed the team's first training session of the new year.

Adri returned late from his holiday in Flamengo, but Inter confirmed that his absence was due to 'medical reasons'.
