The mercurial midfielder scored the winner as Ahli edged past Ismaili 1-0 in an ill-tempered Egyptian Premier League clash on Saturday.
Fans from both sides disrupted the game by throwing dozens of fireworks and broken seats onto the pitch.
"I don't know why these troubles happened," Barakat told Ahli’s official website after the match.
"The fans' actions were unjustifiable especially that Ahli and Ismaili players have very good relationship with each others."
Meanwhile, the 32-year-old said that competing for the league's top scorer award does not interest him.
"I don't think about that. What really matters to me is that Ahli win."
Barakat took his tally to seven goals so far this season, just one behind league top scorer Mostafa Karim.
