Qatar and Saudi Arabia played out a bore 0-0 draw in the Group B game of the 19th Gulf Cup of Nations on Monday.

Ahli forward Hussein Yasser played 90 minutes for the Qataris as the game hardly witnessed any genuine chances at both ends.

Earlier on Monday, holders UAE claimed an easy 3-1 victory over minnows Yemen, who are managed by Egyptian coach Mohsen Saleh.

Captain Mohamed Omar, Ismail Al-Hammadi and Mohamed Shehi scored for the Emiratis, while former Masri striker Ali Al-Nono grabbed a late equalizer for Saleh's team.

Wehda ace Ismail Mattar was introduced late in the game, despite reports claiming he will not be able to play in the tournament due to his father's death.
