Ahli forward Hussein Yasser could miss Sunday's Cairo derby with Zamalek after injuring himself while on international duty with Qatar on Thursday.

The 26-year-old limped off in the 70th minute of his nation's goalless draw with UAE in the Group B game of the Gulf Cup of Nations in Oman.

Yasser, who was Qatar's main source of danger prior to his exit, appeared to be suffering from a hamstring injury.

According to a friendly agreement between Ahli and Qatar, Yasser was inclined to join the Cairo club after the UAE game.

However, it remains to be seen whether he will be able to make the squad for next week's crunch league clash.
