Hamdi joins Tersana

Tersana have acquired the services of former Zamalek midfielder Youssef Hamdi from second-division side Gona, Hammers coach Mohamed Omar confirmed.

The 30-year-old signed a one-and-half-year contract worth EGP 80,000 with the Egyptian league strugglers, who are firm favorites for relegation this season.

The Blues are also set to land former playmaker Amr Fathi 'Samaka' from Kuwait's Kazma and Gaish full-back Gomaa Mashour.

"We have signed Hamdi from Gona and we are expecting the arrival of Samaka this week," Tersana boss Omar told FilGoal.com.

"We are also very close to signing Mashour from Gaish."

Tersana will face an uphill battle against demotion in the second half of the league season as they lie bottom with 12 points.
