Zamalek accept duo resignation, hire Shishini
Zamalek football director Ahmed Refaat and assistant coach Ahmed Ramzi have handed in their resignations on Tuesday, days before the imminent installation of new head coach Michel Decastel.

Refaat, who was interim boss, confirmed earlier that no changes will be made to the club's technical staff upon the appointment of the Swiss tactician.

"All the coaching staff members decided to step down on Tuesday night," the football director told FilGoal.com.

However, Refaat refused to disclose the reasons behind the unexpected decision.

"It doesn't matter why we resigned, what really does is that we are no longer in charge," he added

Both Refaat and Ramzi were temporarily appointed a while back, following the sacking of German coach Reiner Hollmann, who failed to keep crisis-hit Zamalek on an even keel.

The White Knights have been stumbling for a couple of months, during which they slumped to six losses on local fronts.
