After ousting 33-time champions Ahli from the last 16 phase, Hodoud went on to beat Masri in Port-Saied and book their place in the semis on Wednesday.
Former Egypt international Al-Ashri fancies his team's chances of winning the trophy after the surprise elimination of all favorites.
"I think we are making steady progress towards the title and ambitions are high inside the club," Al-Ashri told FilGoal.com.
"We are 80% close to win the cup especially after the exit of all top teams; we are not willing to miss that chance.
"I believe this group is ready to win the first trophy in the club's history."
Hodoud will face either Olympic or Asyut Petroleum as the league strugglers clash in Alexandria on Thursday.
