Juventus chairman Giovanni Cobolli Gigli believes that money would not entice him to sell star man Alessandro Del Piero, amid Manchester City's mega offer for AC Milan's Kaka.

Kaka's recent link with City rocked the world of football in late, as the 27-year-old's future at San Siro is still unclear.

The oil-rich City are ready to splash over £100million for the Brazilian ace, but Juve chairman Cobolli Gigli said his club would never be tempted by the lofty bid if they were approached for Del Piero.

"No, we would not sell him, not even for £100m," said the Juve supremo when asked about Del Piero's availability.

"These figures, especially at this moment when the world and football should be reconsidering its finances, are just illogical."

City were also interested in Juve guardian Gianluigi Buffon, but Cobolli Gigli denied any official link as he stressed that Del Piero is unlikely to leave Turin.

"We have never received any offer for Buffon. As for Del Piero, he is the star and central column of Juve and would not be remotely interested in leaving Turin," he added.
