Zamalek midfielder Alaa Abdul-Ghani missed his team’s recent training sessions due to an ear infection, club doctor Mostafa Al-Monayeri confirmed.

Recent reports suggested that the player was unexplainably skipping his team’s training.

“Abdul-Ghani is suffering from a very painful ear infection,” Al-Monayeri told Zamalek’s official website.

“The player will have to undergo a surgery next week.”

The medical staff’s chief added that apart from Abdul-Ghani, Zamalek currently have an injury-free squad following the return of Ahmed Abdul-Raouf.
