Helsingborg want to run the rule over Zamalek striker Gamal Hamza in the January transfer widow, agent Ahmed Abdul-Rahman announced.

The 27-year-old drew the attention of the Swedish club’s officials, who are eager to wrap up the deal as soon as possible.

"Some officials from Helsingborg watched a video of Hamza's highlights, and they got impressed," Abdul-Rahman told FilGoal.com on Friday night.

The agent referred that his Swedish associate is handling the negotiations between both clubs, saying the player has already accepted the offer.

He also revealed that the transfer fee is yet to be determined.

"They made a bid of $ 100,000, but Zamalek want to double the proposed offer," Abdul Rahman said.

Enough Time

Hamza's contract runs out by the end of the current season, and he can sign for another outfit in the meantime.

"Helsingborg's officials are not in a hurry. The transfer window in Sweden closes in March, so they have plenty of time to work out all details," the agent added.

Hamza would travel to Sweden by next week to undergo his medical if both clubs reached an agreement within the next few days.

In case Zamalek rejected the Swedish side's overtures, the latter would seek to land the talented hitman next summer, by then the Cairo side wouldn't profit from the deal.

Helsingborg finished last season in fourth place, and they are taking part in the upcoming UEFA Cup.

Now they lie fourth in the Swedish League with 54 points.

Hamza would play alongside former Manchester United and Barcelona veteran Henrik Larsson should the deal go through.
