Boujelbene has fallen down the pecking order at Ahli, and he seems all but out of the club, especially after his exclusion from the Club World Cup team in December.
"We agreed in principle on selling Boujelbene to Hazm. Now the move is awaiting the player’s approval to be finalized," Ahli marketing director Adli Al-Qaeyi told FilGoal.com.
The 31-year-old player was on the verge of sealing a return to former club Sfaxien, before the move collapsed as Ahli failed to agree a fee with the Tunisian outfit.
Undisclosed transfer
In the meantime, Al-Qaeyi added that he is set to fly to Rwanda to negotiate the transfer of an Egyptian under-21 player without revealing the player’s identity.
The Egyptian under-21 team is currently taking part in the African Youth Championship held in Rwanda.
"We are eyeing a number of Egyptian under-21s, but we’re yet to decide which player we will sign," Al-Qaeyi considered.
"I will be in Rwanda to finalize the transfer of any player once Ahli’s technical staff give me the thumb up."
Al-Qaeyi has earlier revealed the Red Devils’ interest in luring Egypt youth and Ahli Dubai reserves striker Mohamed Talaat.
