Hoffenheim striker Vedad Ibisevic stated that he doesn’t want Bayern Munich to win this year’s Bundesliga title.

The league newcomers have taken Germany by storm this season, as the club is currently first in the table, level on 35 points with Bayern.

“I really hope Bayern don’t end up champions. I hope it will be us or someone else,” Ibisevic was quoted as saying by Bild.

The Bosnian, who is currently recovering from a cruciate ligament rupture, added that his team are capable of pursuing a serious title challenge despite his absence.

“For me the season is over, but the team has enough quality to remain successful. Other players have managed without me before,” considered the 24-year-old.

Ibisevic has been a revelation for Hoffenheim this season scoring eighteen times and dishing out seven assists during the competition’s first term.
