Meteb rejects rift reports
Ittihad Jeddah striker Emad Meteb refuted reports indicating that he fell out with Argentinean coach Gabriel Calderon after being substituted in a league game.

The on loan striker was replaced 20 minutes from time during Ittihad's 2-1 defeat to city rivals Ahli earlier this week.

Meteb seemed frustrated when he was on his way to the dugout but insisted that it was only natural to feel saddened at being substituted.

"I was just disappointed because I love being on the pitch," he told Al-Hayat TV on Thursday.

"But I did not make any inappropriate action and I have no problems with Calderon."

Meteb's absence from Ittihad's following game against Shabab fuelled rumors hinting at his exit before the closure of the transfer window.

"Calderon preferred to rest me because I was having my college exams in Egypt few days before the match."

Financial Problems

Meteb, who joined Ittihad from Egyptian champions Ahli on a season-long loan last summer, admitted that the club's board is yet to fulfill their financial obligations towards him.

"Ittihad are yet to give me my dues. They've promised me that everything would be settled on Saturday."

The 25-year-old made a decent impact in the Saudi League, having scored ten goals in all competitions so far.
