Harras Hodoud's veteran striker Abdul-Hamid Bassiouni hailed his side's Egyptian Cup triumph as the greatest moment of his career.

The military club won the first title in their history after defeating ENPPI 4-1 on penalties following a 1-1 draw.

"I won a lot of trophies during my career but this time is special," Bassiouni told Modern Sport after the match.

"It is the most precious triumph for me because it is Hodoud's first in history."

Bassiouni won a host of trophies during spells with Zamalek and Ismaili, including the Egyptian league and cup.

Midfielder Mohamed Gouda, a former Ahli player, echoed Bassiouni's sentiment.

"It's my first triumph since my days at Ahli, where I used to win trophies before leaving them in 2004."
