AC Milan vice-chairman Adriano Galliani revealed the club's eagerness to keep on-loan midfielder David Beckham, but conceded that the Rossoneri are obliged to fulfill their agreement with LA Galaxy.

Beckham's loan deal with Milan finishes on March, but the English ace's performances tempted the Serie A giants to extend the deal.

However, Galliani admitted that his side can do nothing regarding Becks' pre-agreed return to Galaxy, who are unlikely to sacrifice his services.

"He is a Galaxy player and we can't kidnap him," Galliani said in Gazzetta dello Sport.

"I think he would like to stay, but I can only talk about the club's wishes and Milan will do whatever we can to keep Beckham until the end of the season or for good.

"There's hope, but contracts have to be honored. The facts are clear - on March 9, Beckham must go back to America."

Beckham produced a fine performance in Milan's recent win at Lazio, setting up two goals for Alexandre Pato and Massimo Ambrosini.

The 33-year-old, who played more than a 100 times for England, is yet to reveal his plans over his future at San Siro.
