Amauri was recently called by Brazil for the Selecao’s friendly against Italy on February 10th, before Juve refused to release him as the call-up was after FIFA’s deadline for naming international players.
"There is absolutely no chance that I will play for Italy against Brazil in London," Amauri told Esporte Interativo.
The Brazilian-born hit man has been plying his trade in Italy since 2000, which makes him eligible for acquiring an Italian passport and playing for the Azzuri.
Amauri earlier said that he’ll answer the first international call he receives, whether it’s from Italy coach Marcello Lippi or Brazil’s Dunga, before opting to play for the five-time world champions.
"I will continue to dedicate myself to my club and try to find space in the Selecao," added the 28-year-old.
"I hope to be called by Dunga again in the upcoming games."
