الإسماعيلي يخشى دفعة عامر للاتحاد

Asyut Petroleum are keen to make amends for their Egyptian Cup exit by beating bottom side Tersana in Wednesday's league game.

Mohamed Amer's team had a chance to make history in the cup but their adventure was foiled by eventual winners Harras Hodoud, who defeated them 2-1 in the semi-final.

"I told my players that we have to atone for our cup elimination," coach Amer told FilGoal.com.

"The players' morale is high and they are well prepared to overcome Tersana."

Asyut are ninth in the 16-team league table with 19 points as they aim to retain their top-flight status after sealing promotion last season.

Tersana, who will be looking to end a four-match winless streak, lie at the bottom on 12 points, four adrift of the safety zone.

"We will not underestimate Tersana despite their bad results," Amer added.

Asyut will be boosted by the return of veteran midfielder Ateya Saber, who recovered from injury. The former Ismaili man is his side's top scorer with three goals.
