Ismaili defender Moatasem Salem stated that Lokomotiv Moscow want to acquire his services starting next March.

The 28-year-old has received an offer from the Russian side via a players agency, and he's eager to accept it.

"I would like to start a new adventure at Lokomotiv. I hope that Ismaili's officials wouldn't mind," the player told FilGoal.com.

Last summer, Salem extended his stay with the Dervishes till 2012, therefore he wouldn't be able to seal a move to Lokomotiv without the coastal club's consent.

"I have informed my club's board about the offer, but they would rather wait till Lokomotiv make an official bid," Salem added.

"I have spent six years of my career at Ismaili, during which I gave it my all.

"I have never asked for a raise or any incentives, and now I wish they let me move to Russia."

The new season in Russia starts in March.

Fruitless Stint

Nearly three years ago, Wigan Athletic hitman Amr Zaki had a brief fruitless stint at Lokomotiv, where he didn't play a single match.

Later on, the 25-year-old cited Russia's freezing weather as the main reason behind his failure with Loko.

He also referred that the language barrier made his days at Lokomotiv more miserable.

Salem would face the same obstacles should he join the Moscow side, but he's determined to seize the opportunity.
