Juventus came back from Catania with a crucial 2-1 late win to go second in Serie A.

In the game were Vincenzo Iaquinta was sent off for the Old Lady, the striker put his team ahead on 11 minutes, before Japanese striker Taka Morimoto equalized for Catania.

Christian Poulsen restored Juventus’ lead in the game’s injury time to help Claudio Ranieri’s men regain the league’s second spot.

Iaquinta marked his comeback to the Juve line up by putting his team ahead against the run of play with a nod from Mauro Camoranesi’s free-kick.

However, Iaquinta saw red less than minutes after scoring, as he was cautioned for taking off his shirt while celebrating the goal before a clumsy tackle saw him recieve a second yellow.

Minutes later, the hosts had a golden opportunity to level the score and Gianluigi Buffon had to be alert to brilliantly save Alessandro Potenza’s header.

Right after the restart, Buffon couldn’t punch Giuseppe Mascara’s header properly and the ball went to Morimoto’s path to slot in the Juventus net.

After Catania’s leveller, the Juventus defence were all over the place when Mascara’s corner found Davide Baiocco in the box. The latter’s volley rattled off Buffon’s crossbar.

The referee waved away Catania’s calls for a penalty-kick after Marco Marchionni handled the ball in the Juve box.

Despite the hosts’ attempts, Poulsen was allowed to collected a right-sided corner and freely shoot past Bizzari, to hand Juventus a precious and probably undeserved win on 91 minutes.
