Qatar forward Hussein Yasser said he would consider leaving Ahli by the end of the season if he remained on the fringes for Manuel Jose's side.

Yasser joined the Red Devils from Sporting Braga last summer and has barely played a full match with the Egyptian champions so far this season.

"If I couldn’t find a regular place in the team during the second half of the league, then I will have to leave Ahli," the 27-year-old told Al-Hayat TV.

"I need to play a more effective role in the team, or else my stay would be meaningless."

Tough Jose

Yasser, who had various experiences in Europe and Asia before moving to Cairo, revealed that Portuguese coach Jose has a different approach in dealing with his players.

"I played under several top managers before joining Ahli, but Jose's style is a little different," added the former Manchester City striker.

"I think he is tough with Egyptian players. Some players can accept that while others do not."

Jose was reportedly involved in more than one dispute with Ahli players this season, including loaned-out duo Rami Adel and Hassan Mostafa.
