Inter coach Jose Mourinho was criticized by Italian anti-racism group ‘Everyone’ for his harsh treatment towards young striker Mario Balotelli.

The Ghanaian-born player was late for Inter’s training on more than one occasion this season, and his behaviour resulted in his omission from Jose Mourinho’s squad.

The Portuguese tactician publicly hit out at Balotelli for his unprofessionalism, and ‘Everyone’ believe that the coach’s act is increasing racism towards the player.

"It's important that Jose Mourinho creates a serene environment for the player," the group’s leader Roberto Malini told La Repubblica.

"Mourinho shouldn't direct his heavy criticism of Balotelli via the media because these are then used as weapons by the intolerant [racists]."

The Italian paper reported that Mourinho’s attack on the player was used by some racist websites to dent Balotelli’s morale.

"It's sad to see a young talent like Balotelli living in a society which is filled with racial hatred. It's fundamental that he is protected."

‘Everyone’ also suggested that the Italian under 21 international should be given a role to help in tackling the racism issue.

"Our group is proposing that Balotelli is named as an ambassador against Racism to the United Nations and European Union like Rio Ferdinand from England."
