Egyptian playmaker Walid Soliman made his competitive debut with Ahli Jeddah but the team were knocked out of the Saudi Crown Prince Cup's last 16 phase by second-division side Fath.

Second half goals from Sadek Al-Eid and Hani Dobaini sealed the win for Fath as Ibrahim Hazzazi scored a late consolation for Ahli.

Petrojet's on-loan midfielder Soliman played full 90 minutes for the Jeddah giants, but failed to make his mark.

The Crown Prince Cup was considered Ahli's main hope of silverware this season, following an early exit from Prince Faisal bin Fahad Cup, in addition to their poor league position.

Later on Saturday, Hossam Ghaly's Nasr will host second-tier Faihaa in the same competition.
