Ahli striker Ahmed Belal revealed that his future at the Cairo club is contingent upon his participation rate.

The 28-year-old mentioned during a lengthy interview that lack of first-team football would prompt him to move away from the six-time African champions next summer.

"I really adore Ahli, but I have to do what's best for my career," Belal told FilGoal.com on Monday.

"I need to play regurarly. If I couldn't secure a regular spot with Ahli this season, I would have to leave."

Belal rejoined the Red Devils two years ago from Konyaspor, but failed to restore his status as a starter.

"Manuel Jose (head coach) has every right to choose his squad, and I don't blame him for ignoring me," he elaborated. "I just want to play."

Belal said he could move either to a foreign club or an Egyptian Premier League side, but he ruled out the possibility of sealing a loan move.

"I could either have another spell in Egypt, or move abroad again. I will succeed anywhere as long as I feel comfortable," Belal said.
