Despite hitting the winning goal for Milan, Seedorf was jeered by the home crowd alongside coach Carlo Ancelotti near the end of the game.
"The fans have to learn to stay behind the team and not make things more difficult for us during a game," the Dutchman said after the game.
"We need their support, it is pointless to sit there and jeer when someone makes a mistake. When I am in good shape, I do my best."
The former Real Madrid player insisted that similar behaviour will never get the best out of the Milan players.
"The jeering does not motivate me in the slightest, but I have to work for the team and that is what I did today."
Fed Up
From his side, Ancelotti conceded that the Milan fans may have become bored with some faces that have been at the club for few years.
"“Perhaps these jeers are a sign they are getting a little fed up with me and they react the same way to Seedorf," Ancelotti said.
"When you see the same face for many years, you need a little more patience.
Ancelotti took over Milan in 2001, one year before signing Seedorf from Inter.
