Both teams played out a scoreless draw on Friday in the Egyptian Premier League, and Radwan is convinced the Mountain Wolves deserved to win.

"I'm really happy with my team's display, but I couldn't accept the fact that we were held to a draw," the Contractors coach said after the game.

"Winning a single point doesn't really count for something, we were aiming to win the match, but we were jinxed and wasted so many chances."

Home side Contractors, who lie 12th with 23 points, could have leapfrogged five teams to go seventh if they had registered a win.

Petrojet, who were deemed serious title contenders this term, are now in fourth place with 36 points.

During the first half of the season, the petroleum side remained in contention for the league title, but they significantly deteriorated when the reverse fixtures got underway.

Apparently, their ongoing league campaign is pretty similar to their previous one.

Lack of Concentration

Petrojet assistant coach Mahmoud Saleh blamed his players for their impulsiveness and lack of concentration.

"Our players had several chances, but couldn't convert them to win the game," he said.

"They were in a rush to score, and that's why we couldn't beat our opponents.

"We didn't plan to settle for a draw, we came to Cairo to claim all three points."

"We didn't have sufficient firepower and couldn't take control in midfield, therefore we failed to threat Contractors effectively.

"We had a handful of opportunities to score, but the players were a million miles away from being focused on the match."
