The pair, who worked as Masri's coach and football director earlier in the season, said that they have given Zamalek officials an initial consent.
"Some officials from Zamalek inquired about the possibility of us working with the club," Ibrahim Hassan told FilGoal.com.
"We don’t mind taking over Zamalek, but we are just awaiting the board's official offer."
A Zamalek board member has earlier told FilGoal.com that the board will convene on Saturday and that a number of decisions regarding the technical staff are expected to be issued.
The Cairo giants are currently enduring one of their worst league campaigns ever, as the club are ninth in the league after registering one win in their last 12 games.
The club appointed Mahmoud Saad as assistant coach to the Swiss Michel Decastel following the 1-1 draw against Telecom Egypt.
FilGoal.com can reveal that a number of board members are demanding Decastel's departure and appointing the Hassan twin.
