Ahli defender Wael Gomaa required four stitches to treat a head injury sustained in Monday's 2-2 draw with Asyut Petroleum, the Red Devils said in their official site.

The veteran center-half collided with teammate Ahmed Al-Sayed in the league match, but Ahli confirmed that the injury is minor.

Gomaa did not have the best of evenings at Asyut Stadium, as he scored the home side's opening goal against his own net.

Ahli will face in-form Police Union on Friday, in an attempt to end their uncommon winless streak.
