Egyptian midfielder Amr Al-Halawani reckons that he has become 'Veria's number one', saying several European outfits are planning to run the rule over him by the end of the season.

The former Apollon Kalamaria man moved to Greek second tier Veria early this term, when he was a free agent after the expiry of his Apollon contract in the summer.

Apparently, Al-Halawani is so far satisfied with his ongoing adventure.

"I have never expected to settle down at Veria that fast. I adapted to my new club and carved out a name in no time," he told FilGoal.com.

Al-Halawani put in a series of promising performances on all fronts with the Greek second division team, which increased his suitors.

Number One

"I have become Veria's number one after a relatively short spell," he added. "I can play in more than one position and I have been constantly acclaimed by Greek mass media.

"I think I have also impressed Veria's fans, who keep cheering for me in every game."

Al-Halawani, who has netted five goals this season, is either deployed as a left-winger or playmaker.

The former Ahli youngster stated that he had received offers from some Greek Super League sides and other European clubs.

"I haven't decided on my future yet, but my next destination will be determined by the end of this term," he concluded.
