Mohamed Zidan's Borussia Dortmund have opened talks with coach Jurgen Klopp over a possible contract extension.

Klopp's current deal runs out in June 2010 but Dortmund bosses are keen to keep him at the club.

"We have been talking about this (Klopp's contract) already," Dortmund executive director Hans Joachim Watzke told Kicker on Friday.

"There will be another round of talks this month and then we will hopefully find an agreement."

The 41-year-old was appointed as Dortmund boss last summer.

He brought Egypt forward Zidan to the club as the duo was reunited after enjoying a successful spell at Mainz.
