Borussia Dortmund lost 2-1 at the hands of Stuttgart in the Bundesliga game played at Mercedes-Benz Arena on Saturday.

Egyptian striker Mohamed Zidan started the game for Dortmund, but he couldn’t make any impact before he was substituted on 69 minutes.

The home side opened the score line in the 10th minute courtesy of a strike from Brazilian midfielder Elson.

Right after the interval, Paraguayan forward Nelson Haedo Valdez equalized for Dortmund.

However, Germany hitman Mario Gomez earned Stuttgart the three points by hitting the target on 62 minutes.

The defeat makes it six Bundesliga games without a win for Dortmund, as Jurgen Klopp's men drew four times and lost two games since the start of the second term.

While Stuttgart climbed to sixth in the league table with 39 points, Dortmund remain ninth with 33.
