Former Real Madrid ace Roberto Carlos is open to making a sensational comeback to the Spanish giants if Florentino Perez returns to presidency.

The Brazilian left Real in 2007 for Turkish giants Fenerbahce, following a glittering stint at Santiago Bernabeu.

Roberto Carlos, 35, still sees a future with his favorite club, despite being at the final stages of his career.

"If Florentino comes and says 'Roberto, come back', I will have to think about it and talk about it. I have never said I won't come back," he told Cope radio.

"Real is the team of my life and I would be lying if I said that I don't want to go back, but we must wait and see the people who come back with Florentino and what their plans are."

Roberto Carlos is regarded as the best ever to fill in the left-back position at Real, who are set to elect a new chairman in the summer.

Former chairman Perez is tipped to return to the Royal Club, succeeding interim president Vicente Boluda.
