The UEFA Champions League quarter-final draw paired holders Manchester United with 2004 winners Porto.

Alex Ferguson's team lost to the Portuguese side in 2004, when Jose Mourinho was in charge of the latter.

Premiership giants Liverpool and Chelsea, who have met three times in the continental competition semi-finals over the last four years, were paired.

Rafael Benitez's men ousted the blues in 2005 and 2007, but the London-based club retaliated last term in extra-time, before missing out on the title against United.

Barcelona were drawn with Bayern Munich, and Villarreal will take on Arsenal in the other quarter-final showdowns.

The Gunners defeated the Primera Liga outfit in the 2006 last four, and then lost to the Catalans in the final.

The quarter-final first legs will take place on April 7th or 8th, with the return matches the following week.

UEFA announced that Chelsea-Liverpool second leg most probably won't be held on April 15th, the 20th anniversary of the Hillsborough disaster.

The semi-finals take place on April 28th and 29th and May 5th and 6th.

The final will be played on May 27th at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome.
