Abdul-Aziz is currently on loan at Konyaspor until the end of the season, and the player added that the recent administrative problems at Zamalek were the main reason behind his decision to return to Turkey.
"I'm not ashamed to say that I support Abbas in Zamalek's upcoming presidential elections," the 30-year-old told Al-Hayat channel.
"I totally believe that he will be the best man to take over the club."
Zamalek's elections will commence early next month.
Young Guns
Abdul-Aziz heaped praise on Zamalek youngsters Hazem Emam, Alaa Ali and Ahmed Al-Merghani, who recently became regulars in Michel Decastel's team.
"The youngsters have really impressed me, but I believe that they need tutoring from other experienced players," he added.
"I recall when I started playing alongside Ismail Youssef, where I learned a lot from the former Egyptian international."
The former Malatyaspor man concluded by urging the trio to obey the technical staff's decisions and only focus on their football.
