Borussia Dortmund striker Mohamed Zidan said he might seal a move to Ahli at some point in the future, assuring in the same breath that he has no current intent to leave the Bundesliga side.

The international ace was tipped to move away from Dortmund in the near future, as he's not regularly featuring for Juergen Klopp's side.

However, Zidan played down all reports claiming he's planning to carry on his career elsewhere.

"I'm really proud to be a Dortmund player, and I definitely don't want out," the 27-year-old told reporters after Egypt's training session on Wednesday.

"Dortmund are one of the biggest clubs in Germany, and all what has been said about my desire to leave is simply groundless."

Ahli

On whether he could play for Ahli, Zidan said: "I don't see why not, Ahli are really imposing and I deeply respect them.

"I would seriously consider joining them should they make overtures to acquire my services, but after all I'm happy at Dortmund."

The understanding between Dortmund boss Klopp and Zidan is one of the main reasons why the Egypt hitman is well-settled.

Beforehand, both men had worked together at Mainz.
