Ittihad have terminated the contract of forward Reda Metwalli on mutual consent, the club's football director Mohamed Fathi told FilGoal.com.

Metwalli has been at loggerheads with both the team's board and technical staff, after the player missed a club friendly without excuse.

The former Egypt under 20 was consequently fined EGP 20,000 before both parties opted to release him for free.

Metwalli joined Ittihad in the summer, after the former Ghazl Mahalla man's spells with ENPPI and Tersana.
