Despite being drawn alongside heavyweights Egypt and Algeria, Rwanda coach Tucak Branko hopes his side can cause an upset and reach the 2010 World Cup.

"My number one target in this campaign is to help Rwanda finish top of the group so that we can be in South Africa next year," the Croatian boss was quoted as saying by AllAfrica.com.

"If I fail on qualifying for South Africa, I have to qualify Rwanda to the Africa Nations Cup in Angola."

Tucak believes Rwanda can get off their Group C campaign to a winning start when they host Algeria on Saturday.

"My players have improved significantly and I believe with the inclusion of professional players, Algeria is no threat to Rwanda."

"We will handle Algeria like any other team that we've played at home. We have enough quality in our team to cause Algeria all sorts of problems home or away."

Rwanda were scheduled to face African champions and group favorites Egypt on June 10th.

However, Egypt demanded world governing body FIFA to postpone the game as it comes just three days after the Pharaohs meet Algeria away from home.
