Chelsea coach Guus Hiddink revealed that he could be staying at Stamford Bridge as club consultant after his short-term contract runs out in the summer.

Hiddink, who is also the head coach of the Russian national team, succeeded Luiz Felipe Scolari at Chelsea last month, but only on a temporary basis.

"They offered me to continue working for them after that date as a consultant," the Dutchman said in the Daily Mail.

"I'll need to have a look at how the situation is going to develop. Maybe I can be useful for Chelsea in that role."

Hiddink won seven games out of eight since taking charge of the Blues, who have also booked their place in the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals.

Rumor has it that his compatriot Frank Rijkaard is tipped to become Chelsea manager in June.
