Holland produced a solid display to beat Scotland 3-0 in a World Cup qualifier held in Amsterdam.

The Dutch win was led by the brilliant attacking trio of Arjen Robben, Robin van Persie and Klass Jan Huntelaar, who caused the Scotland defence all sorts of troubles.

Huntelaar broke the deadlock on 33 minutes after converting a Mark van Bommel cross in the Scotland net.

Van Persie added a second on 45 minutes with a header from a Robben corner-kick.

Liverpool forward Dirk Kuyt wrapped up Holland's win with a second-half spot-kick.

In Madrid, Spain beat a resilient Turkish side 1-0 at Santiago Bernabeu.

Barcelona defender Gerard Pique scored the only goal of the game in the 60th minute to secure the three points for Vicente Del Bosque's men.
