The former Anderlecht man sustained an ankle injury during Egypt's 1-1 draw with Zambia in the World Cup qualifiers on Sunday.
"I had to complete the rest of Egypt's game injured after we made out three substitutions," Hassan told FilGoal.com.
"Ahli chief medic Ihab Ali told me that I will be out for about two weeks."
Upbeat
The 34-year-old said that despite failing to beat Zambia, The Pharaohs still have a chance of reaching the World Cup.
"We lost two points at home but we can also win some crucial points away.
"The gap between most African teams decreased, and home games are not a great advantage as they used to be," Hassan concluded.
