Arab Contractors coach Mohamed Radwan is keeping his fingers crossed over the fitness of goalkeeper Daouda Diakite ahead of Friday's Egyptian Premier League game against Ittihad.

The 26-year-old picked up a knee injury while playing for Burkina Faso in their 4-2 victory over Guinea in a World Cup qualifier.

"Diakite will undergo a scan on Wednesday to determine the full extent of the injury," Radwan told FilGoal.com on Tuesday.

"I hope he can recover in time for our match against Ittihad because we need to have all our regular players available."

Contractors will be looking to overcome Ittihad to ensure their league safety.

The Mountain Wolves lie 11th in the 16-team table on 29 points, eight clear of the relegation zone with seven matches to go.
