Ismaili assistant coach Ahmed Al-Agouz said that his team's 2-2 draw with Police Union means that The Dervishes are out of the Egyptian Premier League title race.

A last gasp equalizer from Police's Violete Armand left Ismaili with 45 points in second place, three points behind leaders Ahli who have one game in hand.

"After today's result, I think that we are out of the title race," Al-Agouz said following the game.

"Perhaps technically we can still win the league, but realistically it will be very difficult to catch Ahli."

Missed Chances

Prior to Armand's goal, Ismaili missed no less than ten golden opportunities, and Al-Agouz believes that his team desperately need to improve their offensive efficiency.

"It's becoming a phenomenon for us to waste real chances. We need to do something about it because it cost us many points this season."

The former Egyptian international added that Mostafa Karim did not start the game for tactical reasons, adding that the technical staff don’t make selecting decisions solely upon the fans' preferences.

Ismaili fans made clear of their feelings towards Karim's absence, as they jeered the technical staff during the game for not fielding the Iraqi forward.
