Eskisehirspor defender Abdul-Zaher Al-Saqqa picked up a serious head injury in his team's 2-1 loss to Fenerbahce in the Turkish Super Lig on Sunday.

The influential veteran got hurt when he collided with an opposition striker on 52 minutes while trying to clear the ball.

Indeed, Al-Saqqa prevented the hosts from opening the scoring, but he was stretchered off with a concussion.

Shortly after, he was rushed to the hospital, where he got five stitches in his head.

Eskisehirspor sorely missed the experienced Egyptian, as Deivid put the home side ahead only seven minutes after the harmful collision.

Dani Guiza added Fenerbahce's second three minutes from time, and Eskisehirspor's Batuhan Karadeniz pulled one back in the last minute.

Eskisehirspor lie in 11th place with 30 points, while third-placed Fenerbahce are on 47 points.
